This airy, romantic organza dress has ruching that is not only incredibly figure-flattering, but is also arranged in a refreshingly unique way, with just the right amount of beading. I have a boyishly straight figure, but the lines of the dress created an amazing hourglass shape. The corset back (elegantly hidden behind two organza panels that wrap over from opposite directions) and 5 lines of boning added to the illusion by letting me adjust where I wanted to be pulled inward the most. The corset back also meant that the dress stayed comfortably and securely up throughout the reception (avoiding potentially awkward tugging), and I didn't need to worry about my weight fluctuating prior to the wedding. For example, even though the Sophia Tolli size 4 measurements are 33.5" bust - 25.5" waist - 36" hips, and my waist measurement can go anywhere from 26" to 28.5", there were many inches of room left in the corset to adjust larger, and probably 1-2 inches to adjust smaller.
I loved this dress, and have tenderly taken care of it in the hopes that it can be part of another bride's happy day. It has been professionally cleaned and hand steam-pressed to restore it to like-new condition, and carefully stored afterward. I briefly considered selling the dress without having it cleaned, since the only marks were along the bottom of the hem and on the underside of the dress, but decided I'd rather give the next bride as much peace of mind as possible. The marks came out during the cleaning, with the exception of two small stains on the underside of the inner satin layer, which do not show through to the top side of that layer.
