We recently got married on April 18, 2015. I wanted something similar to Roman Holiday. This dress was PERFECT! It’s a breathtakingly romantic and classic dress. I actually designed my own dress. But it just cost too much to make to wear for only a few hours. I found this strapless dress and added a bolero. Since the bolero is fitted it gives the illusion of an off the shoulder dress.
The lace bodice has a unique scalloped finish. It’s a sophisticated take on the classic sweetheart neckline. A soft small bow sits at the narrow of the waist. Below the waist is the drama and softness of draped cascading organza. The bolero is made with fine Chantilly lace. A classic touch is added to the back of the dress with actually buttons and loops. This dress is finely made with a belt-in bra. Even though this is a ball gown dress it was easy to move in and comfortable during the ceremony and our first dance.
This dress is breathtaking! I would hold on to this dress for the emotional attachment. It’s the dress I envisioned for myself. But it’s just too beautiful to be stuffed in a box or trunk for years to pass. It deserves to be worn again.
