I have always wanted to be married on the beach, and so did my husband! We had talked about the idea of it, as we both love to walk together on the beach. Appropriately so, we became engaged on a beautiful beach on Costa Rica’s south Pacific coast. I went with my mom to Musette on Newbury St. in Boston after doing much research online for the style I knew I wanted. It was a mere two weeks after returning from Costa Rica that I went dress hunting with my mom. My husband and I had a 6 month engagement. So, I began planning fast. In Feb. I fell in love with my gown, which I believe was the second one I tried on. As cliche as it sounds, I knew it was the One as I cried, and my mom cried. It is a stunning soft ballgown with light-weight tulle fabric, a beautiful train with floral lace, and the most elegent corset I have ever seen. The corset has an easy to use zipper, French floral lace on the bodice as well on the upper part of the skirt, and continues down the train. It has a simple, yet elegant bustle of three hooks. The twirl-a-bility factor and sea-breeze billow-a-bility factors were super important to me. In the shop I practiced twirling, walking, and dancing in it. They way the fabric moved was like magic, but nothing could have been more magical than wearing it on the sand during our sunset, Cape Cod beach ceremony. As I am a tango dancer, I had a different dress (tango dress) for the first dance, but wore the gown the rest of the reception. For the ceremony, I wore the dress barefoot, and for the reception I switched between heels and flip flops. Everyone LOVED the dress, especially my husband as he cried when we had our “first look” with our photographer. I could not have been more blessed with my gown, but now it is someone else’s turn to experience the bridal bliss.
