I was looking for a gown with just enough bling without looking over the top! I wanted my gown to be light-weight and comfortable and thought I was looking for ivory. I tried on many gowns in different stores by different designers. When I put this Mori Lee gown on it took me only a few seconds to know THIS IS THE ONE! The sales lady said it was a rose gold color. It WOW'd me & complemented my complexion!
The technical Mori Lee color is "Light Gold/Silver". The silhouette is listed on Mori Lee site as A-Line.
The Mori Lee Gown Style 1867 has just enough bling to make it a classic. The gown has a deep V neck in front and V in back. Crystal beadwork embellishes the straps and carry over to the neck and bodice for a rich textured look. The skirt has additional beadwork and stones generously at the hemline and upwards. The hem is scalloped.
The gown has a bustle.
The belt is fully embellished with the same crystal beadwork and stones. The belt had hook and eye closures and measures approx 29 3/4" long and 1 3/4" wide and is a little wider in the center where the extra embilishment is.
The back of the dress has a zipper closure. Below zipper there is a row of 23 satin covered matching buttons going much of the way down the back. 4 buttons have only their plastic base and 2 buttons are missing. I have saved one button with its satin cover which can be sewn on again. I have one satin covered portion of a button which can be re-snapped on. That leaves 3 buttons needing their satin covered portion and 1 missing button. The buttons should not be hard to find and replace as needed. After cleaning I want to handle the gown as little as possible.
I wore the gown once for approx 9 hours. Our wedding was in a garden but our reception was inside.
I am so excited and love this dress as much as the day I bought it. It is too beautiful to stay in my closet. Hopefully someone will enjoy it as much as I have!
