I wore this gorgeous vintage inspired all-silk gown for my wedding day, September 27th, 2014. It was only worn for 5 hours as I had a party dress for the reception. The design showcases beautiful chiffon, Chantilly lace cap sleeves and sequins dotted around the bodice, sleeves and back. A row of silk clad buttons secures the back of the dress from the neck down to the waist. The waist is clinched by a silk sequin embellished sash (front) which continues around into a flat bow at the back. The bodice falls away into a silk skirt which skims the hips and bottom, filling out into a long but light puddle train.

The Aspen gained a following after Jenny Packham used an image of the gown to lead her worldwide 2012 Spring/Summer collection campaign. It again received media buzz after Kate Middleton wore a peacock version to the 2012 Olympic Gala.

This gown was made to order in the UK and is a UK 8(US 6). The sizing felt a bit generous so the following alterations were been made on the dress - The gown was taken in around the waist - The waist was lifted as it sat approx. 3cm below my natural waist. - The dress was taken up to suit my 5'9 frame.  I will be wearing flats with a 1/4 in heel so there have been no alterations at the hem.  Donna also added lace(a pattened lace made by Jenny Packham) to cover the cleavage area as I am quite busty. The extra lace can easily be removed to get the dress back to its original design, as it was stiched in loosly by hand. Donna also redesigned the sleeves for me so it will not have the original poofy sleeves.  I wanted a more modern romantic look.  I have the extra lace from the sleeves which can easily be sewn back on if desired.

I am based in Denver and am more than happy for genuinely interested brides to view the gown. Postage is also available at buyer's expense.
